Ok let’s learn about you:

Name: Theresa Chong

Business name: Graphic Designer & Photographer

Whats your 1st memory of being a Graphic Designer & Photographer

I first began digital photography and graphic design when I was in high school. Overtime, I began fusing the two traits together, and expanded my skills through self-teaching. Through photography and graphic design, I was able express and develop my creative side. It became clear to me that this was the path to pursue.

In the next year, what one achievement would you be most proud of.
Being able to employ my graphic design, and photography skills towards more ambitious projects, such as my joint venture in collaboration with a talented graphic designer.

Do you love what you do?  Why? If not what will it take for you to love it?
Yes. I enjoy capturing moments through photographs; it gives me something to look back and remember that I was once there, in that moment, at that second. I’ve been creating cards since I was a kid. It makes me happy to see them cherish and appreciate these small gifts.

This blog talks about the New Media, let’s go there?

Do you have a favorite Social network? Why is it your favorite?
Twitter. It allows me to quickly scan through top news, expand my network, and connect with others in the creative industry/around the world that I haven’t met before. It also serves as a gateway for opportunities such as creative collaborations, open job positions, etc.

Do you read blogs, is there a favorite you would like to recommend?
Design Milk (www.design-milk.com) for instant inspiration from architecture to design, and Vancouver-based online magazine, AX3 (www.ax3battery.com) for current updates on Asian lifestyle and music.

Ok, let’s get creative:

Rock, paper or scissors?
Paper

As a creative mind what do you wish the non-creative industries would offer.
A place in the office space with couches, drawing boards, fun coloured/patterned walls, slides, and a fuse ball table. Just a place to de-stress, relax, have fun, chill…take power naps.

What question do you wish I had asked?  Answer it if you wish.

Q: What’s next for you?

I’ve been busy preparing and working on a side project for the past few months with a fellow creative called Two And Tee. I’m really excited to announce that we will be launching our website soon, so please stay tuned for more updates here: www.twoandtee.com
